Before the dismantling begins

Here are a couple shots of the front and back, showing off the nice book-matched flame veneer. Note the small access hole in the back. This will make it much easier to replace the wiring harness.

Side view of the bolt-on neck joint. It's nice and tight but the neck overhangs the body a little at the cutaway here. Probably not worth messing with. The two screws in the strap button plate hold the neck in place (along with two more screws in the neck pickup cavity). Strap button is still in "lefty" position where my brother had it. You can also see the single-ply binding on the front and back of the body.
